Wales’ plan to prevent heart attacks and strokes

Public Health Wales and partners have unveiled a Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Plan targeting up to 70,000 people with high blood pressure. Over three years, the initiative aims to prevent more than 1,000 heart attacks and strokes, save nearly £18 million for the NHS and social care, and reduce health inequalities, as CVD disproportionately affects deprived communities.
