Study visit: Sustainable development approaches to health and equity in Wales (2016)

The study visit, organised by Public Health Wales and EuroHealthNet provided a valuable opportunity for participants to see the innovative work in Wales to address health, equity and social justice through a Sustainable Development lens.

The purpose of this Study Visit was to provide an opportunity for sharing ideas and practical approaches for linking the sustainable development agenda and population health and wellbeing across strategic and operational contexts. Through the Welsh example and specific projects as well as experiences from other European regions, the Study Visit attempted to enhance understanding and suggest possible approaches, pathways and frameworks towards translation of the 2030 Agenda and European priorities into useful and effective national / regional policies, programmes and actions.
