A recent report by the AFN Network+ outlines pathways to transform the UK food system, aiming to meet climate goals and strengthen resilience to shocks such as pandemics, extreme weather, and price spikes. The roadmap highlights five priorities: smarter land use, resilient farming and food production, healthier diets, joined-up action, and shaping change proactively. It draws on scenario modelling and the Future Food Calculator to explore emissions, land use, and food system trade-offs, providing evidence-based guidance for policy, research, and practice.
