Making the link: Health equity and long-term care

People in Europe are living longer, but their chances of spending these later years in good health and wellbeing vary greatly within and between countries. At the same time, Europe is experiencing an increase in chronic diseases which affect 8 out of 10 people aged over 65. A growing need for Long Term Care (LTC) risks increasing and exacerbating already existing gaps in health and equity within and between countries and communities.
