The EU budget 2021 – 2027: A healthy EU budget?
in 2018, the European Commission published a set of proposals for the next EU budget 2021-2027, the Multiannual Financial Framework. Many of the areas affected by the EU budget are relevant to health – an issue most Europeans want more EU action on.
This summary report has been produced for all those who will be involved in the budget negotiations, particularly those not directly related to health, to highlight the effects of the proposals, and summarise needs and recommendations. It is also for all bodies working in health – international, national and regional – to help them prepare for future changes and identify opportunities to shape the future budgets to meet their needs.
