The conditions in which we are born, grow, live, work and age have a huge impact on our health. Improving health depends on improving these conditions. Social and economic inequalities are reflected in health inequalities. These inequalities fuel social and political instability. To build a fair, stable, and healthy future, we must recognise that the factors which influence health are many and interlinked. Collaboration between sectors and between countries is essential.
