Science and Technology in childhood Obesity Policy (STOP)

STOP is an EU Horizon2020-funded project led by the Slovenian National Public Health Institute (NIJZ) and the Imperial College London. The aim of the project is to find the most successful and effective approaches to reduce the incidence of childhood obesity, while helping children already suffering the disease to get the best support. Interactive and deliberative discussions focused on furthering discourse on:

  • Health system stakeholders’ diversity and policies in supporting childhood obesity solutions;
  • Social marketing measures, approaches and tools in reducing childhood obesity; and
  • Physical activity policies in supporting maintenance of healthy body weight and in reducing obesity in childhood.
