Reports: Foreign-born hit harder by the pandemic

Two new reports show that foreign-born have been hit harder than Swedish-born by covid-19, and that the proportion who vaccinate against covid-19 is lower among foreign-born. In order to reduce the differences, and increase the conditions for good health in the entire population, work needs to be intensified by increasing the availability of vaccines in various ways. In the reports Covid-19 vaccination coverage and country of birth and Foreign-born and covid-19, the Swedish Public Health Agency reports new statistics on vaccination coverage and mortality in Covid-19. The results show, among other things, that foreign-born in Sweden have been hit harder than Swedish-born by covid-19, and that vaccination coverage looks different depending on where in the world you were born. This applies to both groups that have been vaccinated during phase 1 and the groups that are being vaccinated now.
