Regional inequalities in the EU

This briefing, published by the European Parliament Research Service (ERPS) examines regional inequalities in the EU. While regional disparities have been decreasing when considering the EU as a whole, they have been increasing within some countries. The report suggests that rather than using only GDP to assess regional convergence, other methods may be more appropriate.
