The County Council Region Stockholm has responsibility for all health services in the Stockholm county, covering around 2.3 million persons. Public health promotion is part of the responsibility. The Stockholm County Council supports the development of new knowledge and methods and their application in health promotion and prevention, either through its own organisation or through agreements with public or private partners.
