Recent data and mapping on social inequalities in health in Brussels

Social inequalities in health have been widely demonstrated nationally and internationally. This report analyses the situation for Brussels, and maps health inequalities by neighborhood. Socioeconomic health inequalities are marked from birth and then accumulate throughout life, in both physical and mental health. This dossier provides an overview of socioeconomic inequalities in the health sector in Brussels, and of the main determinants of these, with the theoretical framework of the World Health Organization (WHO) as a common thread.
