Public notice for projects aiming at social and labour market inclusion of disadvantaged groups, Italy

The Sicily Region, through the European Social Funds program, intends to foster the virtuous links between economic, labour and social policies. The policies can support and reinforce each other for the achievement of common goals, such as full employment, improving the quality of work and promotion of social inclusion.

This program, in particular, aims at the reduction of the phenomena of poverty and social exclusion through active mobilisation of all actors involved: poverty and social exclusion have multidimensional characters and elements that require coordination and involvement of all levels of government, public and private stakeholders. It encourages innovative projects, ran by various types of stakeholders, to support increased participation in training opportunities and employment of people with mental and physical disabilities, immigrants, women, abused women, mothers with children with social problems, addicted people, children subject to legal proceedings or coming from residential communities or children homes, people in a position of extreme poverty.
