National Health and Care Plan, Norway

In the National Health and Care Plan, the Norwegian government outlines policy measures for the health and care services and public health for the next 4 years. It is a public responsibility to promote health and wellbeing, prevent disease and to make health and care services to be equally and fairly distributed.

The main goals set in the plan are more quality adjusted life years, and reducing social inequalities in health. The plan supports the ongoing coordination-reform in Norway by being an operative tool for setting priorities in the health and care services.
