National action plan for inclusive education, Czech Republic

The main goal of the policy is to increase the level of inclusive education in the Czech educational system and to prevent the social exclusion of individuals and social groups. The policy stipulates tasks and measures to review the education system with a view to decreasing inequalities. A summary framework is provided which contains detailed tasks, responsibilities, time frames and deadlines, as well as indicating a monitoring and evaluation process. The main responsible body under the policy is the Ministry for Youth and Education, which works closely with the Ministry for Social Affairs and Employment as well as the Ministry of Health.

The target group of the policy are children from a socially disadvantaged environment, mainly Roma children and their families. The financing of the policy is based on legislation and realised through funding programmes and calls for projects.
