Healthcare Quality Strategy, Scotland

The Quality Strategy – developed with partners – sets out the three Quality Ambitions for Safe, Effective and Person Centred care. The Quality Strategy aims to provide recognised world leading quality health care with partners in a measurable and meaningful way to all. The Quality Measurement Framework has been developed encompassing the Quality Ambitions and Quality Outcomes to which all work will be aligned. The vision is of fully integrated care allowing everyone to live longer, healthier lives, for as long as possible at home or in the community, to ensure that children have the best start in life, and to provide everybody with high quality care when they need it. NHSScotland has made significant progress in recent years in addressing the health care needs of the people of Scotland working hard to help people to sustain and improve their health and well being through a healthcare system that is faster, more efficient and closer to home.
