Health in Employment Efforts

Material by the Danish Health Authority on the Danish job centers’ opportunities to include health activities in employment. When promoting health in employment, there is an opportunity to create a holistic effort with human, health, social and economic benefits – for the citizens and the municipality. This material provides examples of how job centers can practically integrate health services into the active employment effort. The material is based on experiences gathered at the “Inspiration and knowledge day” held in September 2009 by the National Association of Local Authorities and the National Board of Health, as well as subsequent interviews with a number of participating municipalities.
