German National Health Goal – to Grow Up Healthy: Life Skills, Exercise, Nutrition

Life skills, nutrition and exercise influence the health of children and have long-term effects in adulthood. The setting approach is particularly suitable to reach the target groups children, young people, parents and multipliers. In the following settings: day-care centres, schools and families and their surroundings the following aims should be reached:

  • Better life skills for children and young people
    Reduction of burden and detrimental effects for children, young people and families
    Promotion of exercising in children and young people
    Reduction of malnutrition and promotion of healthy nutrition in families
    Optimising the framework and structures for health promotion in day-care settings, schools -and families and their surroundings
