Federal Plan to Fight Poverty (2016-2019), Belgium

The plan has the following strategic objectives:

  • ensure the social protection of the population
  • reduce child poverty
  • optimize access to the labor market through social and professional activation
  • step up the fight against homelessness and unsanitary housing
  • guarantee the right to health
  • make public services accessible to all

These objectives found their origin in the National Reform Program, the National Social Report and the previous Federal Plan to Fight Poverty. For each strategic objective, the Plan formulates operational objectives, accompanied by concrete actions allowing their implementation.
