Effective interventions and policies mental health and prevention

In the Netherlands, The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport asked RIVM, Trimbos Institute and GGD GHOR Nederland to carry out the findings for this factsheet as part of an exploration into expanding the National Prevention Agreement to include the theme of mental health.

The exploration is described in four factsheets:

1. National and local ambitions mental health and prevention
2. Effective interventions and policies mental health and prevention
3. Knowledge infrastructure mental health and prevention
4. Monitoring mental health

This second factsheet provides an overview of effective and promising interventions and policy measures for each phase of life. Effective interventions have been assessed as effective by an independent recognition committee. Promising interventions have been assessed as well-founded or proposed by experts, many carried out in practice, mentioned in consultations of this exploration or mentioned in national programmes.
