Cost of non-Europe in health policy

Prompted by European Parliament calls for a stronger EU role in public health, the European Parliament Research Service identified various opportunities to strengthen the EU’s role, including supporting health workforce training and professional recognition.
The study focuses on three areas where the cost of non-Europe is potentially high:
(1) Research and development (R&D);
(2) Availability of prescription medicines; and
(3) Delivery of preventive healthcare.
