COP26 special report on climate change and health: the health argument for climate action
The WHO have launched a special report on climate change and health proposing a set of priority actions from the global health community to governments and policy makers, calling on them to act with urgency on the current climate and health crises.
Climate change impacts health in all countries, but it hits people in low- and middle-income countries the hardest, especially small island developing states, whose very existence is under threat from rising sea levels. The 10 recommendations in the COP26 Special Report on Climate Change and Health: the health argument for climate action provides guidance to implement the transformative changes needed for those most in need.
