9th Cohesion Report: EU Cohesion Policy Narrows Regional Gaps

The 9th Cohesion Report reveals that Cohesion Policy has effectively narrowed economic, social, and territorial disparities in the EU, driving growth, reducing unemployment, and fostering the green and digital transitions. Over €392 billion will be invested for 2021-2027 to boost competitiveness, tackle climate change, and bridge the digital divide. Despite progress, challenges like sub-national disparities persist, highlighting the need for continued investment in regional cohesion and adaptation of Cohesion Policy to emerging economic dynamics.
